Campaign Coordinators
Tips for a Successful Campaign

Campaign Coordinators

Congratulations! Being your company's campaign coordinator can be a rewarding and fun job, yet it can also be challenging. We hope to help make the process as simple and fun as possible by providing you some easy to use tools.

Why is your job so important?

Your position, more than any other, has the potential for great rewards for yourself personally and for the community. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making your workplace's fund drive a success. A successful fund drive means more support for some of our society's most critical needs and personal satisfaction in knowing you helped make that happen. It's with your help that EFO's groups are able to:

  • Ensure clean and safe drinking water

  • Preserve our last remaining ancient forests, rivers and wildlands

  • Improve air quality through transportation alternatives and energy conservation

  • Save endangered species from extinction

  • Enhance urban livability by reducing traffic jams and sprawl

  • Educate communities about safe alternatives to pesticides for homes and schools

We thank you in advance for helping leave a legacy of which we can be proud to our children!

What is a combined campaign?

For those of you who are new to coordinating an EFO campaign, it may be helpful to explain what a combined campaign is. A combined campaign is an annual charitable fund drive that offers employees the choice of contributing to a variety of community funds or federations. For example, the Environmental Federation of Oregon, United Way, and the Black United Fund often participate together in combined campaigns, benefiting a broader pool of community groups and more accurately reflecting employees' diverse interests and values.

How should you use EFO's website?

Now that you understand what a combined campaign is, you probably have a lot of questions either about EFO or about how you can run a smooth and effective campaign with limited time. You can learn more about EFO in the About EFO section, about our 32 member groups in the EFO Member Groups section, or browse through our Tips for Running a Successful Campaign.

We hope that you find this site helpful, but please feel free call us at (503) 223-9015 if you have any questions you'd like answered directly. Ask for Sandi Scheinberg, EFO's campaign director, or email her at sjs@efo.org.

Good luck and thank you!
